These puerquitos are made of Barro rojo, or red clay, by a cooperative of women living in San Marcos Tlapazola - a rural Zapotec village outside of Oaxaca, Mexico. For 20 generations, the village has specialized in making cookware and tableware out of the red clay found in that region by the potters who are all women. These beautiful salseritos will add a rustic beauty to your table. Because they are handmade, no two pieces are exactly the same.
