At Casa y Cocina, it all started with tableware. Nothing excites us more than carefully putting together a table setting that impresses our guests, but most importantly, serves as an expression of our passion for kitchen decor and know-how. We choose our products -- and vendors -- carefully, and with a few things in mind.
We look for items that are artisanally produced and can be traced back to our favorite places in Mexico, so you can transmit that same feel in your own kitchen. We work with vendors we know well, and thus, who we know lead their craft with care (often, our vendors represent family trades that have been passed down for generations). And last but not least, we take a holistic approach when selecting products: whatever you choose to take home can always be paired with other items at Casa y Cocina, an entire table setting if you so wish.

The tortilla press is a fundamental appliance in traditional Mexican kitchens. This beautiful tortilla press was handcrafted by master artisans from MichoacĂĄn, Mexico. These artisans collect fallen trees and leave them out to dry for 2-3 years. Once the fallen wood is completely dried out, the artisans use their masterful skills to create these stunning yet durable tortilla presses.
This Cucharero (or spoon holder) is part of the traditional Mexican kitchen and is a beautiful piece to add to your cocina! It is handmade by a Mexican artisan and inspired in MichoacĂĄnâs renowned tradition of wooden craftsmanship. Since it is handmade, no two pieces are alike and you may find some slight imperfections. They come in two finishes: Stained and Natural (stain to match your kitchen!)
Red clay ceramics are found in almost all Mexican kitchens. Carefully hand-crafted by artisans in Mexico who apply ancient hand molding techniques with modern design elements. These puerquitos are suitable for serving salsas, guacamole, spices or other condiments up. Use to hold lime slices, nuts, & pretzels alongside your favorite cerveza! Or fun as a dried fruit or candy bowl at your desk.
