Ignacio, artisan by trade and at heart, is passionate about Mexican artisanship and also restores religious art, furniture and sculptures. His work can be traced back to his family; professor Castaño, his maternal grandfather (his mother was also an artist), was a sculptor and ceramics teacher. Ignacio's father was a student of his, working primarily with enamel, bronze sculptures, the lost wax technique and painting. Ignacio's proximity to this work allowed him to help and learn not only the trade and techniques, but to LOVE the craft.
"I have it in my blood, for me it's much more than a job; creating pieces is a passion. I am so happy that through Casa y Cocina I can take a piece of México to different places."
