This product is made of barro; as opposed to ceramics, it doesn't contain enamel nor artificial pigments, the natural materials used to make these items paired with beeswax determine the unique colors of each piece. Thus, the tones will naturally fade over time. Our production process is 100% natural.
This product can be used on a gas or electric stove, wood fire stoves and/or ovens, and are microwave safe. Wash gently with dish soap.
Our barro pots, which have a beeswax base, will smoke a bit during their first use because the fresh layer of wax will burn off. We suggest keeping your space ventilated during their first use.
Our barro bowls or cazuelas naturally become less porous over time. By boiling water inside the cazuela and then letting it dry, you can accelerate this process and use it for soups and liquids without worrying about leaks.
Please use discretion before plating food items known to cause stains.
